Celebrate Black History Month with the Columbus Metropolitan Library!
Join us all month long for engaging programs across Central Ohio, including African drumming and dance, hip-hop classes, and genealogy workshops to honor the achievements and contributions of the Black community. Special exhibits, book displays, and family-friendly activities will also highlight the richness of Black history and culture. With events happening at branches throughout the region, there’s something for everyone to explore, learn, and celebrate this February!​
Linden Branch - Ready for Kindergarten
CML will open a temporary Linden Branch at 1990 Jefferson Ave., next to the Linmoor Education Center, at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26. Its hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and closed Sunday.
Ready for K class
Hands-on practice of kindergarten skills such as writing letters and cutting with scissors. Parents will receive tips on how to work on skills at home. Ages 3-5 and their parents or caregivers, Monday, 10-10:30a.m. & 1-1:30p.m.
Play to learn
Stop by to play in our kid's area and work on fun activities with your child. Ages 0-5, Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. & 1-3p.m.
