Celebrate Black History Month with the Columbus Metropolitan Library!
Join us all month long for engaging programs across Central Ohio, including African drumming and dance, hip-hop classes, and genealogy workshops to honor the achievements and contributions of the Black community. Special exhibits, book displays, and family-friendly activities will also highlight the richness of Black history and culture. With events happening at branches throughout the region, there’s something for everyone to explore, learn, and celebrate this February!​
Linden Branch - School Age and Teens
CML will open a temporary Linden Branch at 1990 Jefferson Ave., next to the Linmoor Education Center, at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26. Its hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and closed Sunday.
Reading Buddies
Be a better reader. Practice reading and writing activities with a buddy. Space is limited. Students K-3, Monday and Wednesday, 4:30-6 p.m.
School Help
Get free help with schoolwork along with computers, school supplies, and friendly staff and volunteers to help. Students K-12, Monday-Thursday, 3:00p.m., Friday, 3-6 p.m.
After-School Snack
Stop by for a snack provided by Children's Hunger Alliance. Ages 1-18, Monday-Saturday, 4-4:30p.m.
Teens Create
Hang out with friends and learn something new. Ages 12-17, Tuesday & Thursday 4:30p.m.-5:30p.m.
Teen Service Club
Help out at the library and get volunteer credit for school. Requires a signed permission slip from parent or caregiver. Ages 12-17, ask staff for details.
