Winter Warming Centers

City of Columbus

The Community Shelter Board has opened up seven warming centers scattered throughout the city offering a warm environment for anyone needing refuge during the winter months. These warming centers are smaller than traditional shelters and two locations offer space to board animals with their owners. Interested individuals must call the Homeless Hotline at 614 274-7000 to be referred to the closest shelter with capacity; individuals cannot show up to a warming center. Daytime shelters can be found at Columbus Metropolitan Library branches and the Columbus Recreation Centers. A full list of warming centers including hours and phone numbers are attached.
