Housing Accelerator

Columbus Urban League

The Columbus Urban League (CUL), with funding from Key Bank, launched the Housing Accelerator Initiative to address the ongoing housing instability exacerbated by the pandemic. As COVID-19 relief funds decrease, many individuals still face significant rental debt and eviction threats. CUL's program blends affordable housing access with tools for wealth-building, workforce development, and case management to help clients achieve financial independence and long-term stability. Participants can access deposit assistance, improve their credit scores, and increase employment opportunities, aiming for lasting self-sufficiency and economic recovery.

Mayor Ginther Releases $1.23 Billion 2025 General Fund Budget Proposal

Mayor Andrew J. Ginther today released his proposed 2025 General Fund budget. Through sound fiscal management focused on strategic, thoughtful investments in safety, housing, transportation and core services, the city is presenting a balanced budget totaling $1.23 billion designed to foster equitable prosperity and safety for Columbus residents as the city continues to experience rapid growth.
