Register for the Student Athletic Training Workshop
Nationwide Children's Hospital
Nationwide Children’s is hosting a Student Athletic Training Workshop June 4-6. This 3-day immersive workshop provides hands-on experience and valuable career insight into the world of athletic training, emergency medicine, physical therapy and other allied health and medical professions for participating high school students. No experience is necessary. The deadline to apply is May 26 at midnight. Register today!

FLOW's Tire Amnesty Event
The Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW)
The Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW) will hold a tire amnesty event on March 15th. It will be held at the Linmoor Education Center parking lot from 10am-12pm. Columbus residents may bring up to 10 tires for free recycling! This will help keep tires out of our waterways and natural areas, out of the landfill, and reduce the amount of mosquito breeding ground. Folks who would like to volunteer for the event should email info@olentangywatershed.org

Earn as You Learn
Music Columbus
Music Columbus' "Earn As You Learn" program offers an 8-week paid summer internship for individuals aged 18 and older, providing hands-on experience in the music industry. Participants work 20 hours per week at local Columbus businesses, earning $15 per hour, from June 2 to July 28, 2025. Applications are open from February 24 to March 17, 2025, with interviews conducted in April and selections finalized by April 28. The program includes mandatory launch and closing events on May 28 and July 23, respectively. Applicants must have graduated high school by the program's start, reside in or near Columbus, and possess strong communication skills and work ethic. Free Notary Services
Columbus Metropolitan Library
The Columbus Metropolitan Library now offers free basic notary services at most of its branches. Customers can schedule appointments with commissioned notaries during regular library hours, either online or by calling 614-645-2275. While the service covers documents like vehicle titles and affidavits, it excludes complex legal documents such as real estate transactions, wills, and powers of attorney. All signers and required witnesses must provide valid photo identification and must sign documents in the notary's presence. This expansion aims to meet community needs, with plans to offer notary services at all 23 library locations within the next year.

Free Prom Dresses
Fairy Godmothers
Fairy Goodmothers is an all-volunteer organization in Central Ohio dedicated to promoting confidence and self-esteem among high school students by providing free formal dresses and accessories for prom. Their signature event, Cinderella's Closet Boutique, offers a personalized shopping experience where students can select from thousands of dresses ranging in sizes from 0 to 36. The 2025 Boutique is scheduled at The Shops at Worthington Place, 7227 N High Street, Columbus, OH 43085, with operating hours on select dates in February, March, and April. Students are encouraged to pre-register online for appointments, though walk-ins are accepted as availability permits.
